January Astronomy Night: Space Technology

For the second time, we are honored to host Engineer Akram Amin at the Planetarium Science Center, in cooperation with the Egyptian Association of Astronomy. He will hold a lecture to talk about what is new in space technology. He will also be speaking about the latest missions to space; where did they go and why, in addition to their discoveries. Engineer Akram Amin will also talk about the new organization which aims at helping those who are interested in astronomy to start their career in the field of aviation.

Engineer Akram Amin studied at the German University in Cairo through a scholarship. In 2009, he continued his studies in Stuttgart, Germany. He received his bachelor’s degree in communication then he received his master’s degree in aircraft engineering from “TOM” institute in Germany. In addition to another master’s degree in space technology from “Munich” university in 2014. He was also responsible for the Egyptian experience at the International Space Station “EGAHEP”; which was studying Virus C and how its grows in space.
 
In 2015, he was chosen to join “POSSUM” program –powered by NASA- to conduct some experiments to study the
atmosphere at an altitude of 100 km.
