Junior First Lego League Competition

The Junior First Lego competition was held 29–30 January 2017 for the students aged 6- 10 years old in Bibliotheca Alexandrina. 
 
This year’s topic was about Bees and animals in different habitats. The kids’ mission was to help either bees or any kind of animal chosen against any threat or danger they may face in their shared habitat. Kids searched, invented, applied, tested and  built amazing models using Lego and WEDO kits. Their models had motorized parts that brought their models to life by programming them using programming WEDO software.
 
The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) participated with 7 teams. The PSC teams were recognized in the following categories: Robust Design award, Amazing Movement award, Construction innovation award, Most exclusive award, Amazing Movement award, Gracious Professionalism Award, Most explosive award.
 
The closing ceremony and awards were announced by Eng. Ayman El Sayed, Director of the Planetarium Science Center, Eng. Ayman Elkabbany, the competition’s representative in Egypt, Ms. Alisha B. Wallenstein, the world wide competition’s representative and Mr. Ismael H. Yassin, President of the Arab Society for Robot.
