Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hilmy Elnagdi, born in Elmansoura, (Egypt) September 1st 1941. B. Sc. 1962; M. Sc. 1966; Ph.D. 1969 (all from Cairo University). Diploma in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, 1973 (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan). D. Sc. 1982. Professor in Cairo University since 1980; second anted to University of Kuwait 1993-1999.
Head of Chemistry department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University 1999-2001. Visiting professor in Uta University 1996. N.T.N.F. fellow (Norway) 1997-1998. AvH fellow 1979-1980; 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1989, 2000.
Visiting professor in Kuwait University 2003. Three hundred forty published papers and reviewed articles. 165 M. Sc and Ph. D. students (five in Kuwait). Teacher of chemistry in all Egyptian universities and University of Gar Unis Libya.
Awarded: Egypt award of chemistry 1975; Egypt first class ribbon for science and arts 1977, Cairo University Chemistry award 1984; TWAS (international) Chem. Award 1990. Egyptian academy of science award for excellence in basic science 2001; COMESTECH Chem. Award 2002; Cairo University award 2005; most sited third world chemist (ISI list in period 1980-1997). Research lecturers and consultancy in Germany, UAS, UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Japan and France.
