AbouAiana, Fathy Egypt         Prof. Abouayana obtained his PhD from Alexandria University is 1971. Dr. Abouayana devoted his academic efforts in the field of population studies. His book entitled :Population Problems in the Arab World” published in the late eighties is main reference for population studies and research in the Arab region. Dr. Abouayana was elected dean of the Faculty of Arts, Alexandrina University in 1993, then he was appointed vice-president of Alexandria University in 1995, then president of Beirut Arab University in 1998. Dr. Abouayana is now vice-president of the Egyptian Geographical Society and an active member in Alexandria Society through his efforts in NGOs.
