Abstract: Recent years have seen a stabilisation of the HIV epidemics in many sub-Sarahan African countries, and in some cases a decline1. While HIV continues to be amajor problem, the goal envisioned by UNAIDS of ‘getting to zero’ - with zero new infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS - related deaths may be realisable in the imaginable future.
