The World Academy of Sciences Arab Regional Partner (TWAS-AREP), in collaboration with the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, cordially invites young researchers, academics, and scientific leaders to register for our upcoming hybrid workshop “Shaping the Future of Science and Research in the Arab Region: AI, Emerging Technologies, and Open Science” 27–29 October 2026. Organized under the umbrella of the Young Scientists Training Program (YSTP).

- Age: 40 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Academic Standing: Master’s/Ph.D. students or holders of a Ph.D. degree in life or natural sciences.
- Residency: Living or working in a developing country.
- Women scientists and refugee and/or displaced scientists living in any country are highly encouraged to apply.

TWAS Visiting Expert Programme

Deadline: 23 November 2026
This programme provides institutions and research groups in developing countries, especially the Least Developed Countries and those with limited outside contacts, with opportunities to establish long-term links with world leaders in areas of science other than mathematics and physics, and help develop capacity-building in their country.
The program aims to foster international collaboration, enhance local research capacity, support curriculum development, and provide mentorship to young researchers and graduate students.
