Yehia El Shazly is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Alexandria University, Egypt. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Alexandria University, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. His research interests include water desalination, wastewater treatment, modeling and simulation and mass transfer.

With extensive experience in academia and research. He has held various positions and participated in multiple projects and workshops related to desalination, energy, food, and water management.

He currently holds the position of consultant for the research pillar for the Alexandria Water resilience - Center of Excellence at Alexandria University.
