EDNCD workshop

Dear Friends,

We are excited about the “Epidemiology of Diabetes and Other Non-Communicable Diseases” conference in Alexandria Egypt as described below. We have gathered major leaders to present at the conference. The head of Diabetes at WHO, Goyka Roglich, M.D. will be an instructor, as well as the head of Diabetes at CDC, Ed Gregg.  Steve Blair, the Guru of epidemiology of Physical Activity and Obesity will be presenting as well as a leader of Molecular epidemiology of Type 1 Diabetes, Jan Dorman. In addition, other outstanding instructors include Morsi Arab; IDF MENA Region Chairman, Steve Blair, Nabil Sulaiman, and Ala Al'wan; the WHO Director of non-communicable diseases will be presenting a lecture over video conferences and many more top scientists.

We have had an excellent response to the course.

For this course we are trying something new.  We would like to recruit 4-5 senior level experts in Diabetes and Other non-communicable diseases from several countries to come to the course.  The reason for this is that we plan to collect the lectures from the experts in this short course, and make them available to senior level people such as you to teach in your countries. We are thus recruiting senior scientists who can develop a similar Diabetes course in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Qatar, etc. These 4-5 scientists can be the leaders to promote diabetes epidemiology and global health in their country and region.

Fayrouz and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
