The Center for Islamic Civilization Studies issued the book titled “Ceramics: The Andalusian Legacy and Mediterranean Spread”, authored by Clara Ilham Álvarez Dopico, a researcher at Complutense University of Madrid, and translated by Shereen Mahmoud. The book includes topics on the ceramics that were made in the workshops of the old city of Tunis and outside its walls in the suburb of Bab Souika, from the early decades of the seventeenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century.

Releasing the 7th Issue of Arab Memory

The Center for Islamic Civilization Studies, in cooperation with the “Memory of the Arabs” project, affiliated with the Academic Research Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, has released the seventh issue of The Memory of Arabs magazine, devoted to the topic of “Cairo, the crossroads of cultures and civilizations from its inception to the end of the Mamluk era”. This release coincides with ICESCO's selection of Cairo as the Capital of Islamic Culture in 2022. The issue also sheds light on the cultural events organized by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
