Easter Celebration
In collaboration with the Tohoti Group specialized in Egyptology studies with special interest in Pharoanic life, Bibliotheca Alexandrina is honored to announce the celebration of the Easter event in an Egyptian oriental paradigm.
The celebration will take place from April 26, 2008 to April 28, 2008. Both the Young People’s Library in Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Alexandria Art Gallery have immensely contributed to the arrangement of such event.
In fact, the ceremony is intentionally designed to rejoice this event in the same manner as our Pharoanic ancestors. Accordingly, a workshop for coloring eggs as well as a lecture about Easter in Ancient Egyptian civilization will be conducted to raise the awareness of our young promising generations concerning the causes behind such celebration and the procedures implemented by ancient Egyptians in such rituals.
