The BA Taha Hussein Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired, in cooperation with the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, the World Health Organization, and the Governorate of Alexandria, organizes “Alexandrian’s Right to Sight” Festival on Thursday, 24 July 2008, attended by officials and specialists in the field. The event is part of VISION 2020: The Right to Sight program.
VISION 2020 is the global initiative for the elimination of avoidable blindness, launched jointly by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) with an international membership of NGOs, professional associations, eye care institutions and corporations.
