End-of-Summer Celebrations at the CH and YP Libraries

We are close to end of summer and kids will soon go back to school. On Monday 25 August and next Thursday 28 August hundreds of children and their parents and family members will will come together to celebrate End-of-Summer Program at the Children’s and Young People’s Libraries.

This year’s Summer program was another success. Intensive programs were offered to children and young people during summer holidays. The programs varied from information literacy, computer literacy, reading contests, poetry reading, calligraphy and hieroglyphic classes, arts and crafts workshops to lectures, seminars and reading and writing programs.

The celebration will feature different activities. It will showcase all the children work of arts. Kids will also produce a theatrical performance, based on one of the stories they read in the library. There will be also poetry reading and musical performances. Prizes will be awarded to those children who have participated in reading competitions and other workshops.

The Children’s Library celebration is scheduled on Monday 25 August in the Conference Center/ Great Hall from 6:00 to 8:00pm and the YP Library celebration will take place also in the Great hall on Thursday 28 August.
