When studying preeclampsia it’s important to remember that there are a lot of changes occurring in women who have the disease and when you’re going to treat it you don’t know which of these symptoms are causal and which are caused by something else. When you’re treating something after the fact you may have troubles. We know that preeclampsia occurs before we make the diagnosis. We know it ends when pregnancy ends. We know that it converges with a lot of pathways to get to the same endpoint.
