Conference theme: CONNECTING HERITAGE SCIENCE TO THE HERITAGE OF SCIENCE 6 –9 April 2025 Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Conference Center CONFERENCE PROGRAMME Conference Language: English 2 The conference will provide an opportunity for stakeholders from national, Arab and African cultural heritage institutions to engage with counterparts from EU large research initiatives and cultural heritage infrastructures to build a sustainable strategic partnership in the field of heritage science. The conference also aims to present and discuss the knowledge and understanding of the history and heritage of science in Egyptian civilisations from prehistory to modern times and the role of research infrastructures and research innovations in the field of cultural heritage as well as national, regional and international cooperation in the interpretation, preservation and sustainability of cultural heritage. This will enable the audience to appreciate the depth, breadth and relevance of cultural heritage to scientific and technological innovation. The conference will provide fundamental knowledge about the scientific and technological evolution and practice in Egyptian heritage, including medicine, chemistry, art, literature, physics, environment, as well as the scientific concepts and traditions, and familiarise the public with the most important scientific and educational centers in Egypt throughout history.
