Jennifer is a social entrepreneur with a passion for community building, youth engagement and global education. She is Executive Director of TakingITGlobal, a non-profit organization she co-founded in 1999 that received the 2013 Intercultural Innovation Award from the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and BMW Group. Jennifer has brokered collaborative partnerships with corporations, foundations, government agencies, non-profit organizations and UN agencies. She has travelled to over 40 countries where she facilitates workshops, presentations and leadership development projects to unleash the potential and creativity of youth. In 2013 Jennifer was designated an HP Catalyst Academy Fellow and she developed a Mini-Course for teachers on Facilitating Intercultural Digital Exchanges that has been translated into French, Spanish and Arabic. As Adjunct Professor at York University, Jennifer helped to design an undergraduate level course in the Faculty of Health. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master's of Environmental Studies. She is a contributing author of a book called Real Women, Real Leaders that was released by Wiley in 2015 and is a recipient of the 2015 BMO Celebrating Women Innovation and Global Growth Award.
