Prof. Tamer Elsherbiny, is a full Professor of Endocrinology at Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, since October 2024.

He is the head of the Endocrine division, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University since January 2025 till January 2028 and the vice president of Alexandria thyroid association.

He completed his residency program at Alexandria main university hospitals in 2006 and earned his PhD from Alexandria university in 2011.

He authored 18 peer-reviewed publications and was cited 72 times.

His research interests include ramadan and hypothyroidism, levothyroxine therapy, autoimmune thyroid disease, Hashimoto thyroiditis and Graves’ disease
