The Renewable Energy lecture was held within the framework of the Visiting Scholar Program - 1. It featured Dr. Mohamed El-Sharkawi and was open for the "Youth for Environmental Sustainability and Better Understanding" program members where it brought about 40 young participants.

It discussed the impact of the electrical engineering on the environment as well as the new definitions of renewable energy.
