Although the first three
sections contain information specific to starting research projects at MCHP, the Protocol
highlights some of the key aspects of seeking funding and ethical approval which may be
beneficial to other users. The Data Preparation and Data Analysis sections are particularly critical for the collaboration between centres on larger projects. diagram on slide 2 of this lecture. The last two sections of the Protocol offer more MCHP-specific guidelines as the project nears completion. However, researchers at other centres may find some of the ideas useful: seeking feedback about analyses before and after they are carried out, holding post-project debriefing meetings, identifying and documenting new measures, variables or analytical approaches, and archiving program files and datasets. |
