The Center organizes a workshop entitled “Teaching Hieroglyphs” in cooperation with the Children’s and Young People’s Libraries in June and July 2021.

The workshop introduced the participants closely to the ancient Egyptian language, its development, the different ways of writing it, the direction of writing, the arrangement of signs and the story of its decipherment, in addition to learning some ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and words that enabled the participants to read some simple names of the Egyptian kings and some other simple texts.

This workshop is within the framework of the Centers' interest in spreading knowledge about the ancient Egyptian language to those who are interested in.
