KIT Dossier Gender and health

Last update: Thursday 15 December 2011

The dossier 'Gender and health' aims to provide insight into how gender roles and relations affect women’ s health. Furthermore, it shows what is being undertaken to address women's, and men's, health needs and rights, and to promote equal access to health care.

The dossier is a spin-off from Gender and health: policy and practice. A global sourcebook (2006) published by KIT Publishers in association with Oxfam GB within the Gender, Society and Development series.

The in-depth section presents contributions of practitioners and experts on issues within the field of gender, women and men, and health.

What are dossiers?

Thematic guides to selected key documents & links, and to expertise of the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT). Most dossiers cover themes as part of a KIT information portal.
