The BA at "Innovation in the Tourism Industry in Light of Contemporary Global Changes" Conference

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina took part in the "Innovation in the Tourism Industry in Light of Contemporary Global Changes" conference, which was organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University, in New Alamein. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, in the presence of Dr. Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism; Dr. Moustafa El-Naggar, President of Matrouh University; and Dr. Essam Al-Kurdi, President of Alamein University, with the participation of a host of faculty members, researchers, and specialists in the field of tourism.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina was keen to support and sponsor this conference due to its great importance in the promotion of tourism. The Library also participated in the conference with a research paper co-authored by Dr. Azza Ezzat, Head of the Research and Publishing Section at the Writing and Scripts Center; Eng. Ahmed Samir, Acting Head of the Information Technology Sector; and Eng. Youssef El-Dakar, Head of Department at the International School of Information Science (ISIS). It was announced in the conference’s closing session that the paper presented by the BA had won the second place in the Scientific Research Award category.

Additionally, the Library displayed its latest scientific publications in a dedicated pavilion at the conference.
