Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, have signed a joint cooperation protocol that is aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation between both institutions, spreading knowledge and digital awareness among students, and supporting educational and training activities within the university. Dr. Zayed and Dr. Al-Noamany have also signed a similar cooperation protocol with Sohag National University.

Dr. Zayed said that the protocol is part of a clear policy pursued by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina to overcome geographical barriers by making its extensive and unique services available to university students and researchers nationwide.

The protocol facilitates the organization of training courses and workshops for students and staff, as well as the implementation of specialized programs in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, scientific research, and leadership skills development, in addition to organizing joint seminars, conferences, and cultural and artistic exhibitions between the two parties.

Following the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Zayed accompanied Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany on a tour of the BA-affiliated Embassy of Knowledge at Sohag University, which was inaugurated in 2016.
