  Abstract

Precision Agriculture Must Reconcile Science and Resulting Technology with Traditional Knowledge

Agriculture must produce more food in the near future. Holistic approaches will help to combine modern breeding with agricultural biodiversity, useful science with precious traditional wisdom, thus enhancing social and ecological structures. But this will only be possible if we learn to build the necessary infrastructure through participative project activities. Examples of success stories will illustrate those thoughts.
