Arts in the Classroom - Minya Workshop

Within the framework of the program Support to Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized the sixth workshop under the theme of “Arts in the Classroom” in Minya, in the period between the 16th to the 19th of February, 2015. The workshop was held at the Minya branch of the Exploratory Centres and Cities of Science and Technology. Students from different governmental and elementary schools attended the workshops including; Al-Hai Al-Mumayaz School, Al-Akbat Secondary school, Al-Amal (for the deaf and mute) School, Al-Rai’ai Al-Saleh School and Sisters of St. Joseph School.
Fostered by “Arts in the Classroom”, the event comes under a series of interactive workshops that are specifically designed for the students of governmental schools, and are held all over Egypt. The workshops have been prepared to expose young students to the arts and, accordingly, to enhance their artistic talents and their understanding of culture.
