Arts in the Classroom - Al-Wady Al-Gadid (New Valley) Workshop

Within the framework of the program Support to Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt , the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized the ninth workshop under the theme of “Arts in the Classroom” in Al-Wady Al-Gadid governorate (New Valley), in the period between the 16th to the 19th of March, 2015. The workshop was held at the branch of the Exploratory Centres and Cities of Science and Technology in Al-Kharga Oasis. Around fifty students and 20 teachers from different governmental and elementary schools attended the event. These included: the 6th of October school, Al-Amal mixed school, Taha Hussein school, Al-Marwa elementary school, Mohamed Metwaly Al-Shaarawy school, Al-Khargah elementary school and Al-Zhour mixed school.
Fostered by “Arts in the Classroom”, the event comes under a series of interactive workshops that are specifically designed for the students of governmental schools, and are held all over Egypt. The workshops have been prepared to expose young students to the arts and, accordingly, to enhance their artistic talents and their understanding of culture.
