“Pharaonic Representation of the Ptolemaic Kings and Queens” Lecture

The BA Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies holds a lecture entitled “Pharaonic Representation of the Ptolemaic Kings and Queens” by Galal Refai, PhD Candidate, University of Roma La Sapienza, Italy, on Thursday, 27 June 2013.
Given in Arabic, the lecture focuses on the royal sculpture either in three dimensions namely statuary, or in two dimensions labeled pictorial reliefs on the walls of Egyptian temples and the Egyptian stelae during the Pharaonic Period as it was this artistic base used later by the royal workshops throughout the Greco-Roman era.
The Lecture is held at 4:00 pm at the Auditorium, Main Library, and is open for public.
