Serageldin Appointed Member of the Advisory Board of Coalition of Dialogue on Africa (CoDA)

Alexandria—Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, has been appointed a member of the Advisory Board of Coalition of Dialogue on Africa (CoDA) as of 14 January 2009.

The CoDA is an initiative jointly sponsored by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Development Bank, which is aimed at promoting inclusive dialogue in support of African development. Chaired by H.E. Mr. Festus Mogae, Former President of Botswana, the board includes Mr. Mo Ibrahim, Chairman of Mo Ibrahim Foundation; the Rt Hon Paul Martin, Former Prime Minister of Canada; and Professor Wangari Mathai, Founder of the Green Belt Movement and Nobel Laureate.
