Objective: This course aims to study the methods of identifying and dating pottery artifacts, then drawing them, and analyzing the minor arts as a source of information that illustrates the nature of the relationship between the Mediterranean regions in the Hellenistic period.

Content: The course deals with the study of pottery, its types, and minor arts, such as terracotta, metalwork, and glassware in the various Hellenistic kingdoms. The student will study the methods of identifying, dating, and painting pottery. The student also studies the importance of crockery and its different types, then the difference between amphora and domestic and imported utensils. The student analyzes the importance of the minor arts as a source of information about the nature of relations between the Mediterranean regions and the extent of influence and effect on artistic styles and industrial techniques.
