The western Delta as a Powerhouse of Ancient Egypt (Lecture)

The lecture will discuss the importance of the Egyptian Delta in the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The British mission worked in the Delta since 2002 with the project (the Delta Survey) which documented over 1000 sites. The lecture will deal with major economical aspects of the region and its relation with Alexandria.
