Future City Competition at the BA

Alexandria— In light of the BA Planetarium Science Center's keenness to simplify science especially architecture, it is organizing on Monday, 10 September 2007 a competition entitled "Future City" which is basically intended for middle school students.

Engineer Hoda Elmikaty, PSC Director, stated that the competition is a hands on training on architectural design which promotes interaction among children and raises their awareness of practical engineering work. Students will be divided into groups, guided by teachers and instructor engineer.

Engineer Hoda Elmikaty added that the project will encourage children on developing creative architectural designs and transforming them into a practical application through their own vision of a future city. Best designs will be selected and awarded.

The competition starts at 10:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm, at the Lectures Hall, BA Conference Center.
