The President of Austria Donates Rare Books to the BA

Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, will receive on Sunday, 21 October 2007, HE Heinz Fischer, President of Austria and his accompanying delegation. HE Heinz Fischer will donate a collection of rare books to the BA in a reception, in which Dr. Serageldin will give a welcome speech to the President.
Ambassador Hagar Islambouly, Head of the BA External Relations Sector and Dr. Sherif Riad, Director of Public Relations Department, will accompany the delegation in a tour of the Library, its affiliated exhibitions and museums, and different services offered by the BA to members and visitors. The tour will include the Manuscripts Museum, the Digital Lab, the Internet Archive, VISTA, the Planetarium Science Center, and the Alexploratorium.
