Selim El-Awa Guest of the Dialogue Forum in a Seminar at the BA

the BA Dialogue Forum will hold on Saturday, 20 October 2007, a seminar entitled "The Muslim and the Other", by Writer and Islamic Thinker Mohamed Selim El-Awa, chaired by Dr. Fathi Abu Aiana, Professor, Alexandria University.
Dr. Al-Awa will tackle in his address the challenges faced by the Islamic world, as the main determinant of the situation on the Islamic arena , and the attacks launched on Islam and Muslims. He will also discuss the Islamic vision on the relation between the Muslims and the Peoples of the Book through entrenching the concept of "co-existence", which promotes the idea of accepting the other and that Allah's blessings is made for all of His creatures.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Mohamed Selim El-Awa is known by his moderation and support for dialogue between the Islamic world and the west, rather than conflict. Dr. El-Awa obtained his PhD in Comparative Law from London University in 1972.
The seminar will start at 19:00 hrs. at the Conference Center Lecture Hall.
