The BA Hosts the Closing Session of Arab Francophone: Reaction and Interaction Conference

Alexandria— The BA will host on Sunday, 9 December 2007, the closing session of the first regional conference of The Arab World Committee of the International Federation of French Professors (128 countries) entitled "Arab Francophone: Reaction and Interaction".

The Director of the International Federation of French Professors, French professors from all over the world, representatives of international organizations, several local and foreign publishing houses, Ambassadors, and senior officials will participate in the Conference. The opening session will be held on Thursday, 6 December 2007 in Cairo University as part of the University's centennial celebrations.

The French television (TV5) and French radio (RFI) will cover the event. The Conference addresses the relationship between Arabic language and Francophone through three contexts: cultural, literal, educational and pedagogical. The BA was chosen to host the closing session of the Conference, in appreciation to its pioneer civilization role on the Arab and international arena, especially in the field of dialogue among cultures.
