Alexandria— The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading session in English on Wednesday, 9 July 2008. Participants will read Pygmalion by Bernard Shaw.

George Bernard Shaw (26 July 1856 – 2 November 1950) was an Irish playwright. Born in Dublin, he moved to London at the age of twenty and lived in England for the rest of his life. He is the only person to have been awarded both the Nobel Prize for Literature (1925) and an Oscar (1938). These were for his contributions to literature and for his work on the film Pygmalion, respectively.

The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
