The Mayor of Baltimore Launches the “Egyptian Corner” Project at the BA

Alexandria— Sheila Dixon, Mayor of Baltimore City, accompanied by a group of the members of the BA Friends Association in Baltimore, will visit the Library on Sunday, 26 October 2008. Dixon will go on a tour of the Library and will donate valuable books to the BA. She will also meet Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, to explore potentials of cooperation with the BA.

Dixon will launch the “Egyptian Corner” Project, which was established by the BA Baltimore Friends, in cooperation with the BA to provide information about Egypt and the BA through three vital locations in Baltimore.

Following the tour, Ambassador Aly Maher, Director of the Institute for Peace Studies, and Ambassador Hagar Islambouly, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, will give two lecture on Peace in the Middle East.
