The Young People’s Library Wins the Largest Educational Event on the Internet

Alexandria—The BA Young People’s (YP) Library won first award in the International CyberFair Competition, the largest educational event of its kind ever held on the Internet.

YP Library members- Mohamed Bahgat, Moustafa Abdel Aziz, Mohamed Galal, and Ahmed Wahba, aged 15- designed a website about eminent Egyptian Scientist Ahmed Zewail, presenting his biography and achievements, in addition to a Fun page including quizzes and puzzles for visitors.

The website ranked the first in the “Local Leaders” category, beating teams from the USA, China, Taiwan, India and Poland.

The talented team worked collaboratively and collected data from the library books, online databases, internet, newspapers, and periodicals. The members used technology in the form of special software, and shared online what they have learned.
