A Series of Weekly Lectures for Youth About Environment and Climate Change

Alexandria—The BA Special Advisors Department organizes a series of sessions and lectures within the “Youth and Environment” program each Sunday throughout August. Lectures are given by eminent guest who will shed lights on the impact of climate change on different aspects of life in Egypt.

On Sunday, 16 August 2009, Dr. Diaa El-Kowsey, Advisor of the Ministry of Irrigation, gives a lecture entitled “The Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources in Egypt”. Dr. Mohamed El-Raey speaks about “The Impact of Climate Change on Coastal Areas in Egypt” on Sunday, 23 August 2009. “The Impact of Climate Change on Biodiversity in Egypt” is the title of the lecture by Dr. Hamdallh Zidan on Sunday, 30 August 2009.

Following each lecture, a member of the “League of Young Masters” program gives a presentation about the impact of climate change on Egypt from youth’s perspective.

Lectures are held at the BACC Lecture Hall.
