Questi Fantasmi in a Play Reading at the BA

Alexandria—The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in Arabic on Wednesday, 28 October 2009. Participants will read Questi Fantasmi (The Ghosts) by Eduardo di Filippo.
Written in 1946, the play is set in a 17th century deserted palace in Napoli where ghosts are suspected to dwell . Pasquale hopes to turn the building to a hotel and, perhaps deliberately, underestimates his wife’s ever-present lover to a ghost. The play escalates between farce and drama, before it sinks down into a portray of the social realm at the time.
The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
