The BA Signs a Cooperation Agreement with Korea’s National Hangeul Museum

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina witnessed this morning the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement with South Korea's National Hangeul Museum.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Sherif Riad, Head of the BA External Relations and Media Sector, on behalf of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, and Mr. Kim Young-soo, Director of the National Hangeul Museum.
Dr. Sherif Riad said that the Egyptian-Korean diplomatic relations span more than 20 years, which is the same age as the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, stressing the fact that these relations have flourished and been strengthened over the years, and extended to include several fields such as economy and investment.
In his speech, Mr. Kim Young-soo expressed his great admiration for the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, its collections and the services it provides, as he points out that the Library is effectively contributing to enriching world culture through its research efforts and the valuable collection of books it presents to readers and researchers.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Mansour, Director of the BA Writing and Scripts Center, stated that the National Hangeul Museum is a leading cultural and research institution, and that this cooperation represents a great opportunity for cultural exchange between the two sides.
