1001 Inventions is an international exhibition reflecting the fruits of a 1000 years of Islamic civilization..
On the Fringe Lines of the 1001 Inventions international exhibition, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and 1001 Inventions institution are organizing the International Year of Light 2015 festivity and the world of Ibn Al-Haytham on the 12
th of November 2015 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Plaza.
This festivity aims at connecting the glorious past of the Muslim scientists with the United Nations international year of light festivity. The activities introduces school students to their ancestor’s achievements in this field, especially the eminent scientist Al-Hassan Ibn Al-Haytham. In addition to that, the activities will shed light uopn the contributions of these inventions and researches in the progress of portraiture and its tools in our modern life .
The festivity activities are: moving tables, Sciencycle, workshop of “Light in Our Life zone”, “Fun with Light” zone, Al-Hassan Ibn Al-Haytham zone, and his camera obscure.
