ESOLEC’19 FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS (Main Conference)

The 19th Conference of Language Engineering (ESOLEC’19) will be held in Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria from 26 September to 29 September 2020. We invite the submission of papers on original and unpublished research on all aspects of natural language processing and computational linguistics. Relevant topics for the conference include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Syntax, Semantics, Grammar, and the Lexicon.
  • Lexical Semantics and Ontology.
  • Phonology/Morphology, Word Segmentation, Tagging.
  • Text Mining, Paraphrasing and Summarization.
  • Speech Processing, Recognition and Synthesis.
  • Computational Linguistics.
  • Natural Language Processing for Information Retrieval.
  • Word Sense Disambiguation.
  • Automatic Character Recognition.
  • Semantic Role Labeling.
  • Sentiment Analysis and Opinion Mining.
  • Corpus-Based Modeling of Language.
  • Machine Translation and Translation Aids.
  • Multilingual Processing.
  • Statistical and Machine Learning Methods.
  • Social Networks and Contents Development Challenges.
  • Computational Forensic Phonetics and Linguistics.

ESOLEC has brought together researchers from across the field of natural language processing and computational linguistics. ESOLEC’19 continues this tradition and thus welcomes papers on all topics related to both natural language processing and computational linguistics, with the expectation that all papers will include linguistic insight.

  • 5 February 2020 (Wednesday): Final submissions due (Extended)
  • 12 February 2020 (Wednesday): Extended submissions due
  • 24 February 2020 (Monday): Notifications
  • 2 March 2020 (Monday): Camera-ready (PDF) due
  • 26 September 2020 (Saturday): Workshop Pre-Conference
  • 27-28 September 2020 (Sunday - Monday): Main Conference
  • 29 September 2020 (Tuesday): Workshop Post-Conference

Author Responsibilities:

Papers must be of original, previously-unpublished work. If the paper is available as a preprint, this must be indicated on the submission form but not in the paper itself. In addition, Authors are asked to cite published versions of papers instead of preprint version when possible.

Papers that have been or will be under consideration for other venues at the same time must be declared at submission time. If a paper is accepted for publication at ESOLEC, it must be immediately withdrawn from other venues. If a paper under review at ESOLEC is accepted elsewhere and authors intend to proceed there, the ESOLEC committee must be notified immediately.
