Safinaz Kazem Donates Her Fathers' Arts Collection to the BA

The BA Calligraphy Center received a valuable donation from writer Safinaz Kazem, which also comprises her late father Mohamed Kazem Asfahany's collection, one of the pioneers of Arabic calligraphy.
Dr. Khaled Azab, Deputy Director, Calligraphy Center, stated that the BA appreciates the generous donation, which includes two marble masterpieces of historical value as tombstones, and of artistic value as the work of one of the most renowned Arabic calligraphers.
He added that the donation also includes a group of articles on the late artist, issued in the beginning of the last century, as well as a group of articles written by Safinaz Kazem about her father. Dr. Azab stated that the works will be displayed in an exhibition entitled "the Journey of Writing".
