Alexandria— The BA started the implementation of the biggest electronic project in the Middle East, the Portal of Egypt's Modern and Contemporary History website. The BA finished the digitization of Egypt's history since Mohamed Ali's age until Late President Anwar El-Saddat's rule. The website, which documents the most important phases of Egypt's history, contains the largest amount of photos and documents of sporting clubs and their history in Egypt.

Mahmoud Ezzat, in charge of the Sports Section in the Portal of Egypt's Modern and Contemporary History Project, stated that the BA intends to document the history of sporting clubs and sports in Egypt, and will hold seminars on the occasion of the centennial anniversary of Al-Ahli Club, as part of the celebrations of the fifth anniversary of the BA. The BA, since the inception of the project, sent a request to Zamalek and Ahli clubs to collect all documents, videos, and photos on the history of the two clubs, as part of the Library's interest in Egyptian sports.
