The Ancient Egyptian Civilization is the theme of the First Archeological Cultural Season at the BA

The BA will hold the first archeological cultural season, which will focus through a series of lectures on the history of Ancient Egypt. The lectures will be delivered by Dr. Abdelhalim Nureldine, Professor of Ancient Egyptian Language, Faculty of Antiquities, Cairo University, and Advisor to the BA Director. The lectures intends to spread the awareness on Egypt's heritage, as part of the BA's mission and role in preserving Egypt's heritage and developing public's archeological awareness.
The season will start on 12 December 2007 to 28 May 2008, in the form of simplified lectures held every Wednesday at the Auditorium. The series will start by a lecture on ancient Egyptian language, followed by another on Coptic Naga Hammadi manuscripts, and how the Egyptian civilization influenced the ancient world's civilizations.
The lectures will tackle different aspects of the civilization such as papyri, mummification, women and children in Ancient Egypt, what was inherited from the Egyptian civilization in our contemporary life, administration in Ancient Egypt. Other lectures will discuss feasts, education, libraries, music, art, literature, medicine, history and antiquities of Sinai, Egyptian Pyramids, and museums in Egypt.
The lectures will be held every Wednesday at 12:00 hrs. at the BA Auditorium.
