Research Grants 2013

In response to the BA/CSSP 2013 Research Grants announcement made by the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), 116 proposals were submitted in Agricultural Sciences, Biology & Biotechnology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Engineering Sciences & Technology, Earth Sciences, Information Technology & Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Medical Sciences Physics & Biophysics, and Pre-University Education. A blind online review process has been used to evaluate each proposal. The Reviewing Committee currently includes 128 international eminent scientist and Nobel Laureates representing all areas of research. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations; top listed candidates were selected to attend BA/CSSP Research Grants 2013 Top Listed Interviews on April 2014.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations; 16 candidates were selected to attend Research Grants 2013 Top Listed Interviews on 16 & 17 April 2014.

The top listed candidates were interviewed by a high caliber scientific committee. The Committee members were Dr. Mohamed El-Faham, Director of the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP); Prof. Asser Zaki, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Alexandria; Prof. Yousry El-Gamal, member of CSSP Board of Directors, E-Just BoT Chairman, and former Minister of Education; Prof. Yehia Halim Zaki, Consultant, Bibliotheca Alexandrina; and Prof. Salah Soliman, Professor of Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology; and Special Advisor, Bibliotheca Alexandrina

 

 

Then three winners were selected as BA/CSSP Research Grants winners for the year 2013.
