Research Grants program was established at 2004 to support outstanding young postdoctoral Egyptian researchers who perform cutting edge research and undertake collaborative investigation approaches across the science and technology spectrum, by offering them postdoctoral research grants as well as help them establish connections with Egyptian and international scientists as well as researchers.

The program cover research in Natural sciences, Mathematics, Information Technology, and Pre-University Education. The maximum duration of the project is 2 years and the maximum budget that can be granted is 75,000 EGP. The grants are totally financed by the BA. Online blind review process by eminent scientist from different countries all over the world is used to evaluate online submitted proposals.

Through the period (2004-2009) a total of 34 researchers have been accepted and subsequently granted.

The BA/CSSP RG winners' current status is:

  • 16 had completed their grants.
  • 9 are in their final phase of research.
  • 9 in different phases.

 

In the past 6 years, and upon receiving the BA/CSSP RG, the winners were awarded more a number of distinct national and International awards, prizes and grants for their research achievements:

  • 35 Awards and prizes.
  • 208 Published papers.
  • 39 Published books.
  • 72 Assisting PhD and MSc students

Winners of Research Grants 2010 Sign their Contracts

On Monday, 9 May and during a ceremony held on the sideline of the Atlas of Islamic-World Science and Innovation Meeting, the four final RG2010 winners signed their contracts.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamed El-Faham, Director of the Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP); Prof. Yousry El-Gamal, member of CSSP Board of Directors, E-Just BoT Chairman, and former Minister of Education; Dr. Yehia Halim Zaki, Head of the BA Academic and Cultural Affairs Sector; and  Dr. Salah Soliman, BA Consultant. In addition, high-caliber young researchers and former BA/CSSP RG winners also attended the ceremony.

Researches were selected by an international reviewing committee comprised of 90 eminent scientists from all over the world.
