Elseviers View on Scientific Publishing
The Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences in the Developing World - Arab Regional Office (TWAS-ARO), and the Library Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosted the lecture "Guidelines for Scientific Publishing", held 5 September 2007, and given by Carl Schwarz, Director of International Publishing Development, Elsevier.

The lecture was held from 11:00-13:00 at the Auditorium, Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

The lecture was open to the public, researchers, and those interested in scientific publishing and included more than 40 attendees who have expressed their pleasure in attending such a valuable session.

The lecture presented Elsevier's - the leading scientific publisher - and included an overview of what scientific publishers and editors like and hate; the most about authors manuscripts; and gave important publishing advice for authors preparing a good manuscript for an international journal.
