Preparation for the First MENANEE Conference On Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development
The CSSP is currently preparing to hold the First conference for the Middle East and North Africa Network for Environmental Economics (MENANEE) held on 25 October 2007 at the Lecture Hall at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center (BACC).

It is worth mentioning that the MENANEE is a joint venture between the Beijer Institute of Resource Economics and the Library of Alexandria and is now considered as a regional network that aims at strengthening the capacity of individuals and institutions in the region in the field of environmental and resources economics.
It also intends to highlight to policy and decisions-makers the linkages between economic development and environmental changes.

The first MENANEE conference, as well, comes within the program of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's 5th Anniversary and features many experts in the environmental and economical fields whom will be giving sessions on subjects such as Biodiversity and Changes in the Ecosystems, Natural Resources and Waste Management and more.

The conference is open for public, with free admission.
