A visit was organized to the Solid wastes Landfill in Al-Hamam City. This landfill consists of 23 cells. This landfill consists of two major areas; northern area and southern area. The northern area includes biogas network area, recycling and composting area, leachate evaporation ponds, biogas to electricity area. South area consists of biogas network area, refuse-derived fuel new line proposal, leachate evaporation ponds and administration area. Only 6 cells can produce 1500 m3 per hour methane gas which can produce about 80 Mw and the 11 cells produce 4500 m3 per hour. Unfortunately, there is no well-established system to trap these amount of methane, therefore, it is not properly used.
