This workshop gave an overview about how hazardous wastes are generated, and how they should be handled and transferred with special precautions to specialized landfills and different treatment processes for different types. Besides, Dr. Soliman introduced the participants to “Basel Convention” and how the transportation and movements between countries of hazardous wastes and their safe disposal is carried out, so as to protect human health and the environment against the adverse effects of hazardous wastes
